Aeiou Tools is an independent type foundry and design playground based in Milan, Italy, co-founded by type designers Andrea Biggio and César Bourgeois in 2021. The studio is known for its experimental, research-driven approach to typography, offering retail and custom typefaces, as well as consultancy services.
Our story
We started as a couple of designers obsessed with letters, drawing shapes late at night and arguing about spacing over coffee. What began as a side project slowly turned into a foundry with a clear idea: make typefaces that are honest, useful and a little bit playful.
Today we design retail families, draw custom fonts for studios and brands, and build the tools we wish we had when we started.
Type is a craft, a tool, and an excuse to keep learning.
